Jan. 3rd, 2006 New year party

Even the engine is not working, Trinity is still useful as dining space.

So, I planned to have a new year party with chicken pot. I bought 3 kg of chicken born and 2kg of wing for making soup as well as 3kg of leg meat and 1.5 kg of minced meat. Also I prepared omelet and pork sparerib.

Because it is new year period, I wore Kimono and opened the restaurant Trinity at 3:00 PM. Soon, one of my friend arrived and the party lasted until midnight with total of 10 people in such a small cabin.

Jan. 7th, 2006 Trinity is back!

On the 5th, the back to work day, I called Tokyo Bay Marine to check the arrival of repair parts I ordered last year.
They said that the parts will arrive on the 7th.

On that day, I went to pick up the parts and paid 49000Yen. You see the difference clearly between the new on and the old one. The replacement work finished in one and a half hour. Let start the engine! Waiting for warm up with engine running at 2000 RPM, and checked the sealing. Now its OK and Trinity is Back!!

Jan. 8th, 2006 New year Party part 2!

We planned have another new year party on Tokyo bay with three boat together including Trinity.

I went to Trinity with my friends at 2:00 PM and started the engine, but it did not. Why? It was just OK yesterday.

Anyway there is another boat coming down from North, so I asked my friend to pick us up.

Another my friend is coming up from Yokohama with 41 feet boat. We met each other at Hama-Rikyu Park and had party together.

Jan. 15th, 2006 A fine day

Its a warm Sunday, why not to cruise on Tokyo bay in such a nice day!

Starting the engine.yes, it runs. Check the temperature of the exhaust system.OK, Lets go!
????Shift lever does not move.

Inspecting the condition and routing of control cable. It seems that cable between the throttle body to transmission is trapped. The reason could be either the rust in the cabel because she has bee stationary almost three months, or the mechanical breakdown inside the transmission in the worst case.

Anyway the transmission is in the water so that no repair can be done without bring up the beat on the ground. I phoned my friend mechanic and asked for towing and repair.

Feb. 4-5th, 2006 Trinity on the ground

9:00 in the morning, the weather is very fine but the temperature is only 0.5deg.C!!
Trinity was towed about one hour in Edogawa river to repair shop.

The inspection started from the transmission. After removing lower case, we found that drive shaft turns freely so that there is nothing wrong with transmission.
Then the next is control cable.Yes, It was trapped because of melted plastic outer sleeve by touching exhaust pipe. The cable must be then replaced.

During the replacement work is carried out by professional, I was on my task to repaint the bottom. Washing down the dirt and make some touch up repair for the dents or scratches.
It looks so clean and refreshed now.

The contents of repair of two days were.
- Replacement of shift control cable
- Replacement of transmission oil
- Replacement of zinc anode
- Replacement of impeller
- Bottom repaint
- Painting of propeller
- Touch up repair and polish of hull

Jul. 29-30th. Cruising to Oshima

This was the second cruising to Oshima for me. The last time, I was on my friends boat of 23 feet but this time, the boat is of 41 feet size so it will be an easy trip to go there.

I went to marina Vellasys in Uraga by my friends car and arrived at 8:30 while the departure time was 10:00. Helping owner of the boat for preparation to remove the cover, filling water to the tank etc. The total member of cruising to Oshima is 11. We left marina at 10AM sharp.

Setting Auto pilot to the destination of Oshima, the east coast of the island. After 2 hours, we were already at Fudeshima, the beautiful beach of Oshima. We enjoyed swimming and then arrived at Habu port. When waiting for Hotel shuttle bus, we looked around the harbor and bought some famous fried crocket.

We towed the dummy bait from the rear of the boat for more then one hour, but could not get any fish. We picked up the "hot spring" group at Nobuse port and then took return way north to Tokyo.

Aug. 5th, 2006 Fire work

One of the big events in summer is a wirework.

As we did for the last year, I also went to see firework in Toda with my friend.
This year, we are in total 13 people in 3 boats.

In the morning, I went to Tsukiji fish market to buy some fresh material for the party.

The show starts from 19:00.
Myself and partner and three guests left ship yard at 17:00 and drove up the river to meet my friend who came down the same river.

Then we went up the Arakawa river to Toda city in Saitama.

We arrived at wirework place one hour before the show time and therefore we could park our boat at very good place near the operators station.
We tie up two boats together and prepare for the party.

Soon the show has started. It was said that the number of the wirework in Toda is up to 14000 shoots.

It was so beautiful firework and the guest seemed to be very happy by watching firework in such a short distance.

All of us enjoyed watching, eating and drinking very much.
